My DH and I

Door County - in fact we're planning a short trip up there next month. There are so many great places to stay, but our favorite is the Eagle Harbor Inn in Ephraim. We always get a one bedroom whirlpool room, but they also have bed and breakfast rooms and 2 bedrooms suites. Ephraim is a smaller town, but has a lot of charm. There are several interesting shops - a great ice cream/lunch place (Wilson's) and is pretty centrally located. The resort is a group of Victorian style homes with the main lodge having the bed and breakfast rooms, and the other buildings housing the one and two bedroom suites. Each suite has a kitchen area with a small refrigerator, stove and sink, kitchen supplies, a living/eating area, a bedroom with a whirlpool, bathroom with a large shower and a gas fireplace between the bedroom and living area. We like to stay in the Sumac lodge at the back of the property. It's quiet and has a deck/balcony looking out over the woods that is very private.
One of our favorite restaurants is the Greenwood Supper Club. It is a traditional Wisconsin Supper Club located in the middle of Door County. It has good Midwest food - and friendly staff. We try to go there on every visit. It's very popular with locals! I also recommend the Stone Throw Winery if you way a nice bottle of wine. It's our favorite on the Peninsula.

Another stop I highly recommend is the Tannenbaum Christmas Store. It is in an old church and is full of ornaments and decorations. I buy a few every time I stop by.
Door County has so much to offer - shopping, restaurants, outdoor activities. You can't go wrong. I hope you enjoy your visit!
