\"Beat the Heat\" Tips

OK, it's summertime and it is HOT at WDW . I love visiting the parks when it's mid-winter here in upstate NY, but that's not always possible. There are a number of health conditions and/or medications that make being in the heat and sun very uncomfortable. So, it's 98 degrees, the humidity is 90% and the sun is making the pavement hot enough to melt a Mickey Bar on contact. What do you do to stay cool(er)?! Please share your ideas with fellow PassPorters- feel free to include ideas that have helped your youngsters, infants and older parents too .
DD decided to put fashion aside(this was when she was 10, so I'm not sure she'd take the "chance" now ) and soak a bandana in cold water and tie it around her head. I did the same thing, but wrapped the cool cloth around my throat as I didn't want to ruin my "Minnie Mouse" visor!
