Hi. The free passes you heard of were in the early days of DVC. It ended about 1999 I think. As said, the only discount on passes is the 10% off Length of Stay passes. I'm really not sure what they call them now as Disney changes the name every other year it seems. We buy Annual Pass, so do not use the discount.
