After our last vacation, I would recommend Benedryl Cream, chewable benedryl tablets (for kids) and a disposable ice pack. Granddaughter had a wasp fly into her shirt and it stung her 3 times before I could kill it. While the ice pack had no real value, it made her feel like we were doing something while we were riding back to the hotel to put her in the tub. She welted up pretty good, but except for a light rash all was gone by the next day. The benedryl was the big difference.
