Downtown Disney has some cool places - there is a scene outside the Christmas shop that has statues of the characters that is neat. There is also a statue of Minnie and Mickey in the pin shop (I think) and the lego statues outside make good picture spots too. If you staying on site, maybe make a trip to the AllStar Movies resort or Pop Century. There are some great icons to take pictures with!

Just some ideas for outside the parks.
