I would have to second connecting rooms at an All Star resort! Being another mom of 4, and having stayed at ASMO both trips, I can say that for us it was a good choice. 2 rooms give you privacy from the kiddies, but security that they're in hearing distance with the door cracked, 2 tv's, 2 bathrooms, and wonderful themeing for kids and adults alike!
Depending on boys vs. girls then the Toy Story buildings or Dalmations are good. The Fantasias are good for both, but run prefered rooms so they cost more. You might also want to consider Sports if you have all boys, or maybe Music? I've heard good things about them both.
The cabins seem to be good, as well as the home away from homes, but for cost, 2 rooms at the All Stars beat them both. Good luck and enjoy you trip, and the boards!! Ruth
