| Re: Tropicana Inn I found this post interesting--we just stayed there 2 weeks ago, and had a great room that was obviously newly refurbished. When I booked the room and requested a non-smoking room I was told that the entire property is non-smoking, so no worries. That was one of the reasons we chose this hotel over our usual. We were really happy with our stay, except for the continental breakfast. The danish were moldy and milk was a pay-extra for item. We just didn't go a second time. For less than $70 a night during spring break, I wasn't going to complain about that. In fact, I found the staff to be very courteous, and our room was even ready when we checked in at 9:30 in the morning. Ya know, now that I think about it, we even had a brochure on the desk in the room about the hotel being non-smoking. Very interesting...perhaps you have an evil smoking body double--but even so, why would they argue with you? That just doesn't make sense! Sorry you had such an experience. |
