It took about 1-1/2 from start to finish but it was well worth it.

It tastes similar to the soup at Le Cellier but without the beer. DH came by and had a taste and was very impressed. I used specially aged cheddar that I picked up at Sams.

The recipe (I used the one on AllEars) is easy to follow. Now I just need to learn how to make the pretzel bread (if I don't have a heart attack from all of the cholesterol I just consumed.)
I think I'll make Tongo Toast for breakfast this Sun.
