Thanks for setting a date for MVMCP Chrissi. Since I have only attended MVMCP in the past on the Thursday night (past two years of the gathering) do you think it will be a lot more crowded on a Friday?

We've attended before on a Thursday and Friday and haven't noticed much of a difference in the crowd levels. :

I had heard some complaints in the past about MVMCP being on Thursday - that the day was too busy, too much going on to keep up - especially for those arriving that day and with little ones in tow (and many PassPorters arrive for the MF weekend on Thursday). I can certainly understand wanting to be at your best and freshest when you're spending that much for tickets to attend an event or meet! We couldn't change it in the past because that's the night the MouseFest communities had deemed MVMCP night.

No reason we can't tweak our new schedule if the 11th works for more PassPorters and after reading through the posts here - it does seem to. And especially now that Cheryl has offered to host the meet!

With your permission, Cheryl, I'll put the date and your name on the schedule. Start thinking about when and what kind of meet - fireworks, parade meet, whatever. And many thanks for volunteering to host (co-host?)!

No problems - put it down as a fireworks meet, by the tip board about 15 minutes before Wishes that night (obviously we won't know for sure when Wishes will be for a while). Then we can just stay together and grab a spot for the parade straight afterwards, that's how we've done it in the past - and anyone who wants to co-host, please feel free to step forward!

so as not to break with the traditional thursday mvmcp, there are several of us who are doing it on thursday the 10th. so, those who would rather not attempt to brave the weekend crowds are more than welcome. maybe if there are enough, we can do two mvmcp meets....
