We stayed at Gaylord Palms over New Year's and you still pay the parking fee along with a nice resort fee! So when someone asks me about staying there - I tell them to compare the price including the lovely extras! It is a great resort, though. We absolutely loved it! The room was gorgeous and perfectly clean!

We went to ICE and loved it, but we're used to ice shows from living up North for many years. We arrived warmly dressed - with gloves. Other guests had little on and were uncomfortable. The show can take as little or as much time as you want. They do not rush you through. It took us about 1/2 hour to get in - about 1 1/2 hours inside (including the video they show you and getting our coats) - and then a good hour at the store . We took our time checking out the designs - reading the signs - taking pictures. My Dgang even spent time going down the slides even though everyone was over 18.

It really is a fun event. Plus if you like to ice skate, they have a rink set up outside in a tent. Now that was very seeing ICE outside in the hot FL sun! And there is a stage show normally at night - with entertainment in the atrium. We had decided to go to ICE and then go out for dinner. It was a very evening! One that we have decided we would repeat in a flash!

Transportation is a problem if you don't have a rental car. You could take a cab or check into a town car service. But I'd check with Gaylord Palms. For a couple years, they had a free shuttle service from Downtown Disney to and from Gaylord Palms. This was a good way for non-driving guests to get to their ICE show. Perhaps they are still doing that.

IT IS NOT FREE. Regardless of if you are a guest or not, if you have a vehicle you are subject to pay the $13 parking fee. Which I think really stinks.
Oh my goodness! I am shocked by that - and you're right, that does stink.

With the price of a room you would think they could give paying guests a place to park........
When we went to California last year we were hit with a $10.00 parking fee at Knotts Berry Farm's hotel. No warning until check out. The hotel was horrible to top it off
