| I understand exactly what is being said in the e-mail, but I send out my sympathies to all those that have made plans for this event. Hopefully you will all be able to go, have your meet and greats, but just without the official recognition. ![]()

| Well, that's a bummer, but let's hold out hope for a return to MF in 2010. With the thousands of active WDW fans in dozens of communities all over the web, I'm sure that he Executive Committee can find a new chair in time to begin planning for MF2010. In the meantime, WDW is still the same, and even though we will greatly miss MouseFest, we can all still plan WDW trips and gatherings until MF comes back. MouseFest began as a fan gathering, and although it's the biggest and best fan gathering extant, there are still plenty of others, from the 2-person lunch meet to larger web community meets. MouseFest is taking a year off, but the rest of us don't have to. |

| That is a major bummer because I am planning on going to my first ever solo Mousefest and I have already made my reservations and am really looking forward to it. Without all the meets, I am not sure if I will still be going.

| I could cancel my December plans and go during the Decade of Dreams Tour. I think you have to book thru MouseFan to play and I won't do that. May is nice but I've been there in May a few times. I adore WDW at Christmas. I could also go during Mouse Guest Experience. It's kind of like a mini-mousefest but held in October. I love their podcast but am not active on their forum. PP is where my friends are located. It's also October which IS nice but still not Christmas. I would still like to go during the time that MF was scheduled and meet with PP friends. Hopefully we'll have others commit to that time as well. Anyone?

| Well, why can't PP friends to their own thing. I belong to another forum that was sort of breaking off from MouseFest for those who wanted to, the others were still planning to go to MF. It might be the same one you're talking about Lorie. I can't remember the name of it off the top of my head right now. We are going back in Oct., so I was planning to go the week they're having theirs to meet some of them. |

| There is no reason at all why members of this and other communities can't still keep their reservations for December and meet up with their friends. It just won't technically be "MouseFest." It would be unofficial meets, that's all.

| I also received the email. While it is sad that there will be no official Mousefest in December 2009, I can certainly understand why they need to take the year off. DH and I still plan on going during those dates in December. I typically had only attended a few Passporter meets in the past but they were fun. Looking forward to December.

| I'm still hoping that a gaggle of us who were planning to meet up at Mousefest '09 will still be going and just keeping it more intimate. Thanks to Dave for all the incredible work being the chairperson. I don't know how the committee will find someone to do it as well as you (and your team), but I sure hope they manage it somehow. Eileen
