| Re: Needs Discounted Tickets The official scoop from Disney is that the only discounts on park passes are from AAA or through the Disney Club (cost $39.95/year).
I belong to connections 123 which offers 10% off park hopper plus passes (cost of program is $79.95/year). I know of several people who have used these passes with no problems.
People also buy passes on ebay (not recommended) at a discount. These are usually days left on partially used park hoppers or vouchers bought through connections 123 (which have an expiration date unlike regular park hoppers). Passes are supposed to be non-transferable and there is no way of knowing if these are good passes until you get to the gate.
You can get some free passes from going to a timeshare presentation. They are valid passes but you have to decide it is worth the hassle and your time.
If you have enough AMEX rewards points you could trade those in for hopper tickets.
You could also do rewards programs to make some Disney Dollars or Webcertificates to help pay for your costs.
There are some ticket agents that sell tickets that are pretty much the same as ebay. No guarantees and you may be left high and dry at the gates with no recourse.
All and all, if you aren't a member of The Disney Club or Connections 123 or AAA (and you won't get enough out of joining one of these programs) your best bet is to buy them directly from Disney at full boat. You will know that your passes are good.
Just my 2 cents. [ 03-06-2002, 04:02 PM: Message edited by: TINKN ] |
