| Wildwood, New Jersey Anyone know of a place in Wildwood, NJ? DD and friends (about 12 all together)are planning on going for weekend in June but have never been there and have no idea where to stay. (Their previous trip to Seaside Heights was cancelled.) They will probably be taking bus or train from NYC so they need to stay somewhere easy to get to and entertainment is close at hand. DD asked me to help her find a place that is accessible and reasonable. Any suggestions? Thanks!!! | Re: Wildwood, New Jersey Try www.the-wildwoods.com Has a list of lots of hotel/motels. However, my niece and 5 friends tried to find a place a couple of years ago and lots of motels wouldn't rent to a group of 20 year olds. They consider themselves to be "family resorts". As for cost, try to avoid anything right on the beach - they go for $180 and up per night. A block in from the beach would probably cost $100-120 in season. Good luck - it's a great place to vacation. |

| Re: Wildwood, New Jersey We always stay at the Sandy Cove Motel. 2 blocks off of the beach and boardwalk near the only Auntie Anne's on the boardwalk. It's a lovely little place with murals and a nice pool. There's one off-street parking space for every room. Efficiencies were going for about $100/night during the summer season during our stay 2 years ago. The motel recently came under new management after being owned by the same (very sweet) couple for 20 years. The rates may have changed so you'll want to check them out at the Wildwood Chamber of Commerce's website. I think it's WildwoodCOC.com. |
