Universal Studios/IOA Passes

Wasn't sure where to post this so I hope it is ok here.

Does anyone know what a 2 day "hopping" pass for Universal and Islands of Adventure cost - or if there even is one? On their web site they have 1 day, 1 park or 5 days unlimited ($99) which I think we will get unless I can find a 2 day for less $$ as I know we will only go 2 days.

Thanks!

Heidi, I'm not 100% certain -- you may try calling and I'd order your passes online before you go so you have them in hand. We did a Universal only trip in July - spent 4 days at the Hard Rock and purchased their Unlimited Pass equivalent. You'll really enjoy it!

Re: Universal Studios/IOA Passes

On their website I found a sort of reduced annual pass--good for a year from date of validation (not from when you buy it), with some days blacked out (it's not like I'm going to go on a holiday anyway. Cost was $99/adult (don't know what kids price was as it's just DH & myself). This doesn't include any of the AP discounts, but--since we were going for three days--it seemed a better value (particularly if I can talk DH into another trip within a year).

If at that rate it is good for a year, yet another good reason to book a trip in 2003. I'm going to call down this week and get all the details on ticket options from them. I'll post what I find so anyone else interested will know as well. Thanks for the input guys!

Re: Universal Studios/IOA Passes

Heidi,

I'm having the same problem. What happened to the 2 and 3 day passes Universal used to sell online?

The problem for us with the $99 annual pass is that the weekend we are going to be there is blacked out. I'm still thinking about it, though.

Ticketmania (and there is another site that Jean recommended - can anyone help me out?) offers the 2 and 3 day passes, and are supposed to be very reputable. I have found the 3 day passes are just around $15 more each, so I usually buy those and save the third day (doesn't expire) for the next trip, when we do Universal Marathon (both parks in one day).

Hope this helps a bit! I'll be buying my tickets soon, too.

Re: Universal Studios/IOA Passes

Bought the annual passes at $99 each today from the Universal website.

The only time we can't go during this trip will be the Sat and Sun we are there, and DH wanted to go during the week, anyway, so I figure, what a good way to justify another trip before the year is over!

Re: Universal Studios/IOA Passes

I just talked to a very nice person at Universal and there are 2 day/2 park tickets available at the gate - not online though. They are $94.95 and you can get a 10% discount with the Universal Fun Card. The $99 Annual pass is definitely a good deal if you plan on going back within the year. Actually, I think the annual pass is the best deal out there right now.

He also mentioned there is a 3 day/2 park pass for the price of a 2 day but was a bit sketchy on if unused days did not expired or if it had to be used in a 7 day period. There were some black out period dates too (didn't effect me) but would effect people going during high times in summer.

Tiki, I think you still did the right thing.
