Favorite Airport/Least Favorite? Anyone got an opinion on how our airports are running these days, 8 months to the day after the 9/11 attacks? What is your favorite? Least? Which airport seems to be running more smoothly than others? How about security - any opinions on who has streamline operations the best? Give us your feedback!

Re: Favorite Airport/Least Favorite? Lessee...Favorite would have to be O'Hare in Chicago. Least favorite would have to be Miami Int'l. As far as security and ease of getting in and out of airports since Sept. 11th, Jacksonville Int'l has done a wonderful job. They moved the security checkpoints to the terminal entrances, so the center court area could remain open for those picking up/dropping off loved ones. Everything just runs so smoothly there, when the city suffered a blackout not too long ago, there were some delays, but no cancellations. They just get everything going along rather efficiently.

Re: Favorite Airport/Least Favorite? I don't have a favorite airport, but the least favorite is definitely Charles de Gaulle in Paris. It is without a doubt the nastiest, dirtiest airport I have ever been to. Which--on top of the total lack of services available in the terminals--made it one of the worst layovers of my life.

Re: Favorite Airport/Least Favorite? My favorite is MCO when I'm one of the arrivals and MCO when I'm among the departures. In all honesty, I like Albany, NY just because it is very small and convenient. I was not impressed with Detroit. But, maybe that was because I thought we were going to be stuck there.

Re: Favorite Airport/Least Favorite? Ya know TINKN - I agree with you about Detroit - not my favorite airport, but it may have been the mood I was in and considering the fact the last time I was through it was a blizzard! And I do LOVE MCO! Not just because it's close to The World, but it's just a nice, easy, convenient airport, although I haven't been through it since 9/11.

Re: Favorite Airport/Least Favorite? Least favorite: Atlanta wins this award hands down. Most favorite: MCO and Waco (yes, Waco) Regional. MCO is pretty organized and it's also nice, clean and very "user friendly" for those new flyers unfamiliar with the airport. Waco is a *small* airport with only 2 gates, 2 bathrooms and one teeniney luggage carousel. There's not much to lose in that little airport. Actually, most of the time, they just pull your bags out of the plane right there on the runway and you're able to grab it and go. Parking is free and the people are so nice. There's no other airport like it.
