Don\'t know what to do about US/IOA

I had called tonight and talked to the reservationist at Universal again..I had asked about an PAP rate on a room and she asked me if I had already purchased my annual pass..well I couldn't lie and tell her I did.
She told me in a very nice way..That when you get to your hotel and they should happen to check your pass for the date of purchase..She said they will charge you the regular rate because you didn't have the pass at the time of making the reservation..Guys..I'm so confused..Do you really think that they check your passes that closely??? She said that her supervisor has known it to happen! We are planning on just keeping the reservation that we have..and she said that if we decide to buy PAP when we get there, present them at check in and they may give us the $139.00 a night..I don't know..will see what happens..If you have any input..Please let me hear it..We just think its silly to pay $127.00 for 5 days on a LOP when you can pay $170.00 for PAP..Maybe we should try it out and if we like it..then we can come back during Christmas (staying at Disney of course) and buy one at that time..Wish me luck with this one!
