Re: Favorite Washington DC attraction Tara, that one is the Museum of Natural History. My kids love that one! I am normally just trying to get out of D.C.--rush hour commuting is awful around here. But, I like walking along the mall down near the Washington Monument at lunchtime.

Re: Favorite Washington DC attraction Lots of museum lovers - anyone got a favorite monument?!? I really love the Jefferson Memorial. Just a neat setting on the Tidal Basin and gorgeous architecture - it's fun to rent paddle boats nearby. For museums - Don, you are right - the Air and Space Museum is the bomb! And while I won't say it's a fun experience, the US Holocasust Musuem is unbelievable and a must do - once is enough though. The neatest thing I ever did was attend a special White House Christmas party back in 1991 for White House employees and their families (my dad worked for George Bush at the time). If you ever have a chance to tour the White House at Christmas (if they ever open it again for tours), I'd highly encourage it!

Re: Favorite Washington DC attraction As you know, we just recently went to DC and we saw all the monuments and museums. The FDR Memorial was everyone's favorite. It was so beautiful and it is near the Tidal Basin. It has a lot of pretty waterfalls. It is quite breathtaking. We also liked the Korean Vet. Memorial it was very eerie and lifelike. Also had a neat fountain. Of the museums....we honestly liked them all. Another not miss is the National Art Museum Sculpture Garden (next door to museum of Nat. History). They have a fantastic fountain and a great place to eat. (Atrium cafe). We ate by the fountain. One of the best times on our trip.
