Need a hotel close to Hershey Park??? All right all you Hershey Park fans..... For the first time in 5 years we are not going on the scout camping trip at the end of August (we will be in Disney instead!! ). So this year we got tickets that are good anytime during the year. Now...since we aren't camping we need to find a nice "cheap" (need to save the $ for Disney)hotel fairly close to Hershey..1/2 hr or closer would be ok. The way we come is down from Scranton so something along this way would be good. Any recomendations??

Re: Need a hotel close to Hershey Park??? There are several of the chains in Hershey. They tend to be pricey. Coming down I-81 there are several of the chains at the Grantville Exit. I have never stayed in that area. We usually stay closer to Harrisburg/Middletown which is off of I-283. There are a number of the chains there. They are listed for Eisenhower Blvd. Just pick a chain and either enter Harrisburg or Hershey. I sometimes think I am the queen of cheap rates. It does pay to do the homework in dollars saved.

Re: Need a hotel close to Hershey Park??? Hi, Tim. I've never stayed at a motel near Hershey since my DH's sister lives in Campbelltown about 4 miles from the park. However, last year she gave me a list of many of the smaller family owned motels nearby for a friend of mine, so here goes: Milton Motel (717) 533-4533 Chocolatetown Motel (717)533-2330 Dutch Motel (717)838-3751 Palmyra Motel (717)838-1324 Econolodge (717) 533-2515 Spinners Inn (717)533-9157 Cocoa Nights Motel (717) 533-2384 Addy's Inn of Hershey (717)533-2591 Cocoa Motel (717) 534-1243 Red Carpet (717)534-1600 Days Inn Motel (717)534-2162 Simmons Motel (717) 533-9177 Rodeway Inn (717) 533-7054 Parkside Hotel (717)534-1774 Hershey Travel Motel (717)533-7950 Fairway Motel (717) 533-5179 As I said, I can't vouch for any of these but some of them may have a web site and all are within a few miles of the park. Happy Hunting!

Re: Need a hotel close to Hershey Park??? We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Grantsville right off of Rte 81, It was very nice, not too pricey, but this was several years ago. I must have gotten a AAA discount (I don't stay anywhere without a discount ) Check out the website...that should help. But I recall that we liked it very much. Sue
