Costa Rica Anyone going? Anyone been? My brother is talking about getting married there next summer....HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP......what kind of financial outlay are we talking about here? How is the weather in say July? What did you DO when you went? - My other brother lives in Escazu which is in San Jose. He's helping to arrange it at one of the resorts. I don't know if it's on the beach (four hour drive from San Jose?) or an "eco lodge". Any info anyone has such as past trips, web sites, etc. to give us an idea of what we're getting ourselves into would be muchly appreciated . Elaine

Re: Costa Rica Elaine-My cousins just went to Costa Rica on their honeymoon. They said the weather is mid 80's and while there are breezes on the shore, inland can be a little humid. They have a lot of neat things to do like canopy walking, which is a Tarzan like trek through the trees and even great deep sea fishing. It sounds like it is a rainforest paradise that you would really enjoy. Hope you get to go and if you do definite trip report is in order. It is a place I am trying to get DH to take me next year for our 15th anniversary!!

Re: Costa Rica Sherrie, what resort did they stay at? How'd they pick CR? - I see you are located in NC, we are in Tallahassee (North)Florida area....did they fly out of Atlanta or Miami? - My mom takes a direct flight out of Hartsfield on Delta when she goes. We are intimidated by the airfare (for starters); which is ridiculous from here. Uh, when's your anniversary btw ? We wouldn't be going until late July theoretically cuz it's "off season"....Too bad the airline industry doesn't currently see it that way!!!

Re: Costa Rica Elaine-They stayed at a couple of resorts and I will find out which ones for you. They also flew out oF Hartsfield as they live in the Atlanta area. My cousin is a big outdoor's person and loves to fish. His wife likes to hike as well. He planned the whole trip and surprised her even with the location, so I don't really know how he came to choose it. My anniversary is August 27th so I would probably miss you by about a month...darn.

Re: Costa Rica Sherrie, we are looking into both Atlanta and Miami. - My mother lives in Dunwoody which is only about a 30-40 minute MARTA ride from Hartsdale. We could drive up (4 hours from here) and leave our vehicle at her house the duration of the trip. Less hassle than flying Tally to Miami; depending on costs at the time! I'd love any information you can get. - If they don't do CR Paul originally wanted it to be in the Redwood Forest! I do want to visit CR sometime, but we had started investigating visiting DL. Anaheim is about seven hours or so I guess from where they are in Oakland. Feel free to email me at Einman00@Yahoo.com. Elaine
