Another NYC ?

We are going to NYC this week and I have a couple of questions. Has anybody been to a good play lately? We are going to try and go to the TKTS booth and I wanted to know what would be a good play to pick, we were thinking of something off-broadway. I know that Lion King and BATB are great but we were thinking of something different. We are going to try a restaurant during restaurant week, any suggestions? Also do you think that you have to be pretty dressed up to dine at these fine establishments? If anybody can help thanks, it will just be adults, no kids this trip.

I loved Mama Mia ( music from ABBA)
Are you looking for a musical?
What type of restaurant are you looking for?
Dressy is good. You won't need a tie for most restaurant.

Re: Another NYC ?

Thanks for the welcome. I have been a big time lurker but haven't posted. We are going on the spur of the moment so I think that Mamma Mia is out of the question. I don't think that we want to see a musical although we are open to it. I was thinking of something edgier, maybe a one person show.

As far as a restaurant one that has great food, we want to try one of the restaurant week specials. I don't think that we'll try sushi though, I love it but my traveling companion does not. Anyways I eat Japanese all the time at home. Maybe a French restaurant, we don't have many of those here.

Re: Another NYC ?

Welcome to the boards. We just say the graduate 2 weeks ago. It was excellent. It is starring Kathleen Turner, Jason Biggs, and Alicia Silverstone. I think that Jason Biggs is out for about 8 more weeks, but hear his understudy is really good. I think that it was hilarious. Even my fiance thought it was great and she did not like the movie.
