| The Seaport Hotel in Boston!! :) Shawn and I had tickets to yesterday's Red Sox game so we decided to make a weekend of it. We usually stay at The Seaport Hotel so I checked out their rates. Online they were $199 for a King Bed room including breakfast on Sunday. Then I read Tikibird's post about Priceline and decided to check it out. I bid $100 for a 4 star hotel and my bid was accepted. By the Seaport!!! Woo-hoo!! Our total bill for hotel room, Valet parking, Room service dinner and breakfast and one local call came to $226. So I just wanted to let you guys know about this hotel and about Priceline. It works! The hotel is beautiful and "service inclusive", i.e. no tipping. They pay their workers well and include it in their prices. In fact, when offered gratuities, you are told very firmly, "No Thank you". It is not right in downtown, the Seaport is a pretty convenient location and they run free shuttles to the nearest T stops and to Faneuil Hall and other local points. Check it out next time your in Boston! P.S. I was concerned booking through Priceline as we couldn't specify a room type. I needn't have worried as we were given a King Bed room on the top floor with a great view! [ 06-30-2002, 08:23 PM: Message edited by: Belle* ] |

| Re: The Seaport Hotel in Boston!! :) What a great deal! Since we are only 20 - 25 minutes south of Boston, we don't stay in town but it is great to know about Priceline experiences. Hope you had fun. Did you enjoy the game? Pam |
