Girl Scout Group Travel I am planning a trip with my Girl Scout Troop for June 2007. It looks like we will have 20-22 attending this trip. We will be getting special pricing with the Disney Youth Group program on tickets but our group is too small to get room discounts. We are trying to get the best deal available because we are raising most of our funds. We are planning to stay at one of the Value price resorts. Our biggest issue is Airfare. It looks like group rates are more expensive then getting them on-line individually. When is the best time to book flights for a June travel and which is the best way to book it as a group or individually. Also is is cheaper to book the room with the airfare. Any suggestions would be greatly appreicated. Thanks

Re: Girl Scout Group Travel Have you called the group dept at the airlines directly? I have used Southwest quite a few times. They offer discount airfare for groups of 10 or more people. You can call them directly at 1-800-433-5368 if they service the airport near you. It is not always less to book your room with air. As Disney doesn't always offer the lowest fares. You can of course price them.

Re: Girl Scout Group Travel Group rates aren't cheaper. What they do do is guarantee that everyone will get on the flight. Booking the tickets separately might mean that you would be locked out for some people because others would get their reservations in first.
