destination suggestions

hello "vast unpaid research department" as the local radio station calls its listeners.

I have a client who wants "something tropical, a little secluded- not a mega resort, where there would be good snorkeling and possibly diving; but not hawaii, st tom, st martin, or mexico". She even mentioned the words water bungalow. (I'm more of a mega resort gal myself haha).

Got any destination / resort suggestions that you have sent happy customers to before? I'm not a diver/snorkeler so I don't know the best areas for those. She mentioned St John and St. Lucia (tho getting to SLU from KS is a long long travel day).

Any suggestions on a fab destination and resort would be greatly appreciated as I start working on quotes for her.

Thanks so much!

Bonaire. Although that's a long haul. Continental has a red eye out of Houston that gets you in around 8 in the morning. The return flight leaves around 11 am. American has a number of flight options out of MIA, although they all go through SJU and then hop on American Eagle to Bonaire. Another choice would be the Caymans, either Grand Cayman if they want a bunch of stuff to do or Cayman Brac or Little Cayman if they just want to lay around when they're not diving. Finally there's Belize. There I can strongly recommend Ramone's. I've got a supplier I've been working with that will do the whole package, including air.

Is that enough for a start?
