| Good Morning! I can not speak for ALL agents, but most do not charge a fee except for air only reservations or something out of the ordinary. At my agency, we assist with all areas of Disney planning without cost: date and resort selection, touring plans/itineraries, ADR's, etc. We also stay on the lookout for any discounts that can be applied to your ressie even AFTER it has been booked. Using a good Disney agent should never cost you more to book your Disney trip and could very well save you money...but more importantly, time....having a good plan and planning assistance saves valuable time before and during your vacation. Good luck with whatever you decide! Anne Bacon Magical Travel Planning

| Honestly there is not always a significant savings in dollars themselves. The price you get on the Disney website should be the exact same thing you receive from a Travel Agent. At the same time a travel agent shouldn't cost you anything- Disney pays us. There are many reasons to use a travel agent though. As stated above- it is our job to possibly find you deals that you don't know about. It is our job to save you TIME- which in a way saves you money. It is our job to find the best deal for your vacation. It is our job to make your vacation planning and your actual vacation go as smoothly as possible. Should you decide to go with a travel agent- I definitely recommend you use an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner. Hope that helps!!

| As a Disney TA, the one "perk" I totally love about my job is when I can get a discount applied to a package. Calling a client with news like that is like adding pixie dust to someone's morning cup of coffee! I know sending an email might be faster, but I love hearing their reactions! One of the best ones was getting to add a discount to a honeymoon package. They were staying at a one bedroom villa for 10 nights. I called and told her I had a wedding gift for her. Her package was going from $5500 to $4400. She said "Great! You save me $110.00!!" I calmly told her to look at the figures again..........she let out such a scream!! Definitely a great plus to an already fun career.

| Agree with all of the above. As amazing as it may sound, I actually (sort of) enjoy getting up in the morning and making all those ADRs (finally got used to the name change). If it's domestic air only, I'll charge a fee. The only other time I say I'll charge a fee is if the planning is very complex, but I'll apply that to the cost. For instance, last month I did all the planning for a couple for a 28 day land and river tour of China. And then they booked it themselves. So I made $50 on six weeks of work. But I love working with people, making their dreams come true. Especially Disney dreams. There's just something about hearing a mom or dad say "the kids loved it". Yes, Colleen, there's something great about saying "I saved you $110". Although saying "I save your $1100" sounds even more rewarding. Congratulations.

| Travel Agent Vs. Doing it Yourself I do have to agree with all the other agents. No agency should charge you anymore then what Disney is Charging. If anything Sometimes they can get it for you a little cheaper with a little research. Disney has certain airlines they can go through. Sometimes getting a savings off the air alone is a deal. Besides cost when you do it yourself you have to do all the work yourself. Some agencies like mine, once the client decides to go with us we offer to do all the work except pack for them. So with a travel agent there is no stress on your part, and it makes the whole vacation that more magical and special.
