Travel insurance: what if part of our party can't go?

DH may be having surgery soon and may be unable to go. Our trip is booked through Walt Disnay Travel co., and I've read through the brochure but I still don't understand -- if he can't go, do we all stay home?

Thanks for your advice (and a few sprinklings of pixie dust, if you please!)

-- Linda

I haven't read the brochure, but in general you buy insurance for each individual. So if he can't go, you'll be reimbursed for his specific expenses. But I really, really, really hope that you don't have to find out.

Hi,

I hope you don't mind, but I called WDW and found out that you can modify your reservation 45 days + at no charge, and they can still modify it within 45 days, but you there would be a $50.00 modification charge.

I read the brochure too, and modifications are really just not covered. I hope you DH is better soon!
