| Questions re: Stroller/UPS/Airline/Etc My DH wants me to ship a stroller to our resort (CBR) so we don't have to take it down on the plane. I'm not sure what he plans to do with it when we're done with the trip...? Leave it behind...? It's not like him to do something like that (hates waste!) but he's the logistics planner, I just work for him. ![]() I can get a decent $40 foldable lightweight stroller w/storage on Amazon with free 2-day shipping. Is it still ok to have items shipped to the resort? If so, are there any special procedures I should take? Fees? Etc? We're flying Airtran w/DME. I've never taken a stroller anywhere, I don't know if on the way home it can be classified as a carry-on, or no? I'm figuring on one big suitcase and 1 or 2 carry-ons in addition to the stroller. Do foldable strollers fit in the overhead bins? Would we have to check it in? Is it a big no-no to leave items like strollers behind? I don't want to be gauche, just trying to figure out how all this will work. I don't suppose WDW has any donation bins? TIA. ![]()

| First off, I'm not a travel agent (nor do I play one on TV But I have traveled many times with a little one Jimmy's age. I think you're going to want the stroller in the airport on both ends. You can wheel Jimmy right down the gangway (is it called that for a plane?), and an attendant will take it from you right before you board the plane. They will have it for you in the same spot when you get off the plane. It's fairly painless, and it's called gate-checking. The stoller should not count as a carry on (we've never had that happen), but AirTran's website should have that info for sure. Sometimes the airline will want you to come to the podium at the gate and put a little tag on it. On DME you just fold it up, and the driver will put it under the bus.

| I wouldn't ship it Rachel : I would think that you'd want to have it for Jimmy at the airport both going and coming back. Like Rebecca said, they take it as you are boarding and it doesn't count as carryon. When you get off the plane you can grab it and go. With DME it goes easily in the under bus storage area.

| The stroller will be "gate checked". When you walk to the end of the jetway someone in a blue jumpsuit and orange muffs will take the stroller and give you a tag to claim it at the other end. You'll have to do this for every leg of the flight. You'll need to tell the gate agent that you have a stroller to gate check.
