| How to plan... I am interested in the Adventures By Disney Mid-Atlantic trip. My son is veyr into history and wants to see the Liberty Bell, Mount Vernon, and the places in National Treasure. I think this package would highlight most of the places we want to visit but I am curious if there is a better way to go about planning it. Would it be better to plan it all out myself and not do the ABD? Are there other packages available elsewhere that offer the same things for a lesser cost? As much as the package sounds great, I think I would like to be on my own time and not following someone else's schedule. But, at the same time, I think makes it nice and so much easier for me to plan, since someone else has already done it for me. Help me figure out how to plan a trip like this. Things that need to be included are: Liberty Bell Mount Vernon Pennsylvania, Washington DC, Virginia **mostly looking for hisotrical places to visit on this trip** |

| The ABD itineraries are in true Disney form Heather - everything you would expect from Disney and more! All the details are taken care of. The Spirit of America adventure you're looking at may seem pricey but it does include many meals and top of the line hotels (Great Wolf Lodge is beautiful!). Those, combined with the experienced tour guides on the private tours make it well worth the price. If you book more than 90 days out there are also early booking rates which will also save you some money.

| I was hoping it included all of the Disney magic that you get when you walk into a park or resort. I had figured it would be just as special and with all those extra touches it makes the trip more memorable and enjoyable. I have been looking into "other packages" and doing it on my own but the one thing I love the most about ABD is that everything is taken care of. As far as the packages go, do you know how payment works? Is it all due upfront or does it work like a WDW reservation where a deposit is made and payments can be applied up until 45 days before check-in? Either way it is not an issue, just something I am unsure about. Thank you, Judi for your help! As always, it is greatly appreciated! |

| The deposit requirement is $300 per person at the time of booking and the balance is due 90 days prior to your departure date.

| Hi Heather - That particularly itinerary is VERY popular and gets awesome reviews. If you haven't already boked yet, check around, you may be able to get a promotion from a TA that will give you a better deal than booking directly. Enjoy whatever you decide.
