| Destin Resorts help Hey Fellow Travel agents... I need some help with the Destin/Ft Walton Beach area. I have a bride getting married on the beach down there, and they will be spending some nights with her family in the condo that is rented. However for wedding night they want a nice resort / honeymoon suite. I know nothing about the Destin area and my search thus far has not yielded a fabulous resort that would meet her standards....(nice gorgeous room, oview, jacuzzi or jacuzzi tub, pretty bed). Can you please recommend some to me? I'm more of a sarasota girl myself Thanks so much!

| I have only been in one resort in Destin, but it is a doozy! The Welcome to EmeraldGrande.com is a place that as soon as you walk in the lobby, your jaw drops. It's Luxe with a capital L. It's right on the Harborwalk so there is plenty to do, also. The photo in my signature was taken from the Harborwalk right in front of the Emerald Grande -- check out how close the dolphin is! I don't know whether they cater to honeymooners but it would be something for them to look into. As for view... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I took these photos from a suite on the 10th floor with a wrap-around balcony on December 6th, 2008.

| I really can't add anything to the conversation that Donna hasn't already said (let's just say that most people don't see Destin as being a luxury, high end destination, not to knock the area). But Donna, I love the poem. I have a couple of friends in Alberta and I went climbing there a few years ago. But Manitoba. Isn't that where we Texans get our Blue Northers from? We have a phrase "ain't nothing between here and the North Pole but a barbed wire fence. And somebody left the gate open."

| Sorry, no I didn't get any pictures from the suite. I thought I might have taken a couple shots inside, but I can't find any on my computer now that I'm looking for them. I didn't actually stay there, my friends stayed there and I checked out their suite. If you check out the "virtual tour" on the website that I linked to, you can get a really good idea of what the rooms look like. The Emerald Grande is a condo so it's fully equipped for owners or for overnight guests. I don't know what your honeymooners' budget is and this may very well be out of their price range depending on when their wedding is, but it's definitely worth checking into. The amenities, view and proximity to shopping and nightlife is really sweet!
