Changing plane reservations

I was wondering for you TA how annowing is it when people change their plane reservations?
Is is a lot of hassle on your part to do this? We have a flight out of Phila for 11:20 and would rather go out earlier. I checked the site and there are available seats on a 7:55 flight the trip is for April24 is it to late to try and get this earlier flight. I know it would mean paying the fee and all just wanted to know how much trouble it would be to do this. Never went thru travel agent before this was a trip we won so dont know it that makes it more difficult or not.

As long as you're aware of the fees and everything involved to change, go ahead and call your TA! You shouldn't be concerned whether it's annoying. It's our job to be sure that you are getting the trip that you want and changes are part of that!

Thanks I called theTA and she told me that it would be $100 each ticket so it is really not a great idea, what she did tell me was when I call 24 hrs ahead of time I can ask it there is room on an earlier flight and if we could be bummbed up to it without incuring a fee. I can check the flight situation on the computer and see if there are any seats available for that earlier flight and as least ask them. Wont hurt. She said I could arrive early at the airport and ask as well. But I think the 24 hr time frame would be a better choice. Thanks for replying.

In addition to he $100 per person change fee, you can also be charged the difference in price between what you paid and what the current fare for that/those leg(s) are. So it can be painful.
