question about two different quotes?

I have a quick question for the TA's out there. I called two weeks ago to get a quote from disney on free dining. I gave them the dates sept 24th to 29th and informed them of two adults and that we would want to stay at POFQ . We opted out of the insurance and took the park ticket down to a 4 day pass only with a park hopper. The quote I was given was 1250 roughly. I decided to think about it and called back last night because I had intentions of reserving that because i felt with free food the price was good. When I called back i received a different quote at 1450???!!!! When I explained that I had been given a different quote he said he could see that I had called but there was no quote written down. My question is how can the price change like that in two weeks time? Should i book under this new quote and not feel like i'm getting ripped off in a way? I am still going to book i just didnt know if I should book through a TA in order to see if the quote i was given was bogus?

Prices do change depending on inventory, etc. However, I think it is more likely that is was not an apples to apples quote - most likely they were charging you for park hopping or another "add on" option. I think it is a good idea to check with a travel agent just to be sure you are getting exactly what you want.
