What ?? Why is it so difficult???

To use the stupid PIN CODE????? I called the travel agent I booked with, and she's telling me that disney is giving her a hard time saying the pin code I got doesn't match my last name or address. WHAT???? She asked me if I had gotten married recently or moved. Oh yeah married. 9 YEARS ago!!!!! I haven't moved in YEARS!!!!! Why is this so friggin hard? By the time we get it all sorted out, I feel like I will have no rooms left at the discounted rate. I am REALLY getting mad. Any thoughts?

Sorry you are having a hard time. My suggestion....give her EVERYTHING. When I have turned up empty handed on a client Pin code, they will tell me everything (name changes, old addresses, etc.) Pin codes are not transferable so Disney wants to be sure it is you. Sometimes what actually happens is you traveled with other family members and it was coded to them not you. If your TA provides all the options up front, it shows you know the possibilities and aren't making information up to fit the promo.

The other issue I've run into is somewhat embarrassing for Disney. Check the spelling of your name on the card.

As Sandy points out, make sure the name darn near exactly matches. Same last names? Not good enough, it has to be the same first name. Sometimes the rez agent will say "Smythe-Whittington? Hm, how many of those can there be in Dallas?" If the spouse is calling, they name may not match up. I know this from personal experience, as we went twice one year with one booking in each of our names (same last name). We received two postcards with different PINs for the same offer.

Happen last week

We had this happen to one of our Agents last week. Tell you TA call Disney and go over the pin number again and ask to speak with guest services. Make sure your TA has all the info that is on the Card or email so they can be ready to fax it to Disney if needed. They are right - if one thing is off and you have a cast memebr who is newer.. it can be a problem but tell you TA to be tough and make them honor it - they sent it out - they need to honor it unless it has expired.
