International flight question

Several of us are thinking/planning a trip to Tokyo Disney in 2013. (We like to plan in advance) Cheryl (Chezp) has suggested the trip for around Easter. Easter in 2013 is March 31st. I know that usually flights are at a premium around Easter and spring break. Are flights still pricey after Easter? Does this include international flights too?

thanks

I'll see if I can answer this - not all flights are pricey around Easter time. I've already checked out Virgin flights to Tokyo for next year and I think they jump in price on Easter Saturday, so for us, travel up to Good Friday will be relatively cheap. I haven't looked much further than that, as I want to go before Easter. I'd have a play with a few airline sites and plug in dates around next year for Easter and see what the flight prices are like. That's how I usually do it. I hope you don't get something horribly expensive back!

What you'll find in the US is that domestic prices will be kind of high from Thursday before through Tuesday after. You'll have to look at specifics as to regional holiday schedules. March 31st'is might be a convenient time for Spring Break.

But international flights are typically more expensive for summer, as that's when most airlines see a bump due to vacationers.

WARNING: 2013 is like a million years from now. We've already seen a major merger in the last 12 months and I could see another (Continental/US Air) by then. Available seats may be down. But we could have a big economic boom and oil prices could stay below $110/bbl. If you know what will happen, please let me know. I have a bunch of money I want to invest the right way.

Ha! No idea, just trying to get a feel for budgeting purposes. I looked a few weeks ago (can't remember what time of year I was looking) Anyways the price from Kansas City to Tokyo was $760. Now I've been looking for the week after Easter and it's $1200. Yep, who knows what prices will do just looking for trends.
