Changing Hotels We are staying at the FW cabins from Nov 8-15. This was a trip given to us, it includes the discovery magic package -2 features a day and airfare on South West. It is a SouthWest package. We just received all the details of the trip this past Saturday. We aren't that crazy about staying at the cabin, but given that we are a family of six it was what was chosen for us. We've stayed at the Poly and Contemporary and loved them. My question - Could we upgrade to the WL junior suites and pay the difference? As I said this was a trip given to us by a vendor that my husband uses at his business. Could this be done? Or should we start getting excited about staying in the cabins? Thanks for the advice!

Re: Changing Hotels Gosh, a trip given to you, how great! Usually, on a package from a provider you can't change it, but what the heck I would sure ask. I'd call Disney and the trip provider. It's worth a shot.

Re: Changing Hotels Rules are very strict on trips that are given. It is not likely that you could change resorts. I happen to love the cabins and we have some excellant pictures of them on our website. Enjoy! http://www.yourmagicaljourneys.com/ftwilderness.htm

Re: Changing Hotels Thanks for the great pictures!!! Any suggestion on requesting a particular area? We have kids ages 2,5,8,11. It seems much better than I imagined! Thanks again! Sue

| Re: Changing Hotels We stayed in the 2500 loop "close to pool and bus stop" as a special request because we have a son with autism. Check out the map in your PassPorter (to quote Woody from Toy Story - "Don't have one??...Get one!" ) But seriously, the cabins are really nice and I am sure that you will have a grand time! What a wonderful gift you were given. | Re: Changing Hotels Though I didn't go inside one, we drove by them in the campground last week...and I must say I was impressed! They look really nice! I think if they have the Disney name on them, then they must be nice. YOu will love the FW facilities....some suggestions would be to rent a golf cart for some portion (or the entire time)of your stay. They are so great to get around the resort...and to explore! If you have time, go one night to the campfire and movie! It was a nice relaxing break from the Disney "rush"! Bring your own popcorn, blanket, etc. and enjoy the evening under the stars! (We even saw the fireworks from the movie site!) The petting zoo is great! Renting bikes (they have a great surrey bike!) is so much fun! Also, your older kids will love renting water mice with you and exploring the lagoon! Have a great time! |

Re: Changing Hotels Whatta amazing gift of a trip! Wow! On our past trip (this past May '02), we (DH and I) took the time to do some exploring around FW -- and we were amazed at how neat everything was. We would LOVE to stay in one of the cabins. I think you will have an awesome stay there. The Trail's End Buffeteria looks great, too. Michelle [ 10-29-2002, 08:48 AM: Message edited by: All Ears ]
