Doubletree Guest Suites My family of 4 are staying at Doubletree Guest Suites for a total of 6 nights. We have Hilton points for the last 3 nights. What do they mean when they are an "official Disney Hotel" ? Will we receive all the ameneties of staying onsite at Disney ie. early entry to the parks, better transportation. I am considering staying the first 3 nights at an onsite Disney hotel, or would you just suggest staying put. Thanks for your input Beth

Re: Doubletree Guest Suites I think what they mean is they are a good neighbor hotel which is not the same as an on-site hotel. It is hard for me to justify staying off-site when there are good discounts on site, depending on season of course. What are your trip dates?

Re: Doubletree Guest Suites Hi Jean, Sorry, forgot to post those last time. Our trip dates are April 19-25, 2003. I know this is the busiest time of year, so don't know what kind of discounts will be offered at on-site hotels. Thanks, Beth

Re: Doubletree Guest Suites Yes Beth that is Easter and discounted rooms will be slim pickings. Your best bet may be an upsell rate. You ask for a value resort and see if they give you a moderate at a heavy discount. I always post codes here when released so watch for that as well.

Re: Doubletree Guest Suites Hi, We stayed at Doubletree Guest Suites last Easter because of a good rate and the large rooms. We enjoyed the stay, although it was only 2 nights of our trip, stopping by Disney after a Florida driving tour. The room size and 3 televisions were a treat to my three teens. Usually we stay onsite, ie, CBR, Port Orleans, Poly, Beach Club, and we wanted to try off-site. Walking to Downtown Disney was nice and we took buses from there. I think you would enjoy. Smcl
