| package question with a junior When I looked up prices for this June, I'm considering a MYW package if no codes are offered. When I looked on mousesavers, it gives an example of a package price but it says it's bassed on double occupancy for adult. It also lists the price for (3 nite/4day) an adult as 329.00 (value resort and value season - I know June isn't value season though but I'm just trying to get an idea of HOW pricing works) and a junior (ages 10-17) is 198.00. My 13 year old and I would be traveling...So here's my question, using that time period and a value resort, would they charge for 2 adults or one adult and one junior? Using those prices, having my junior charged as a junior vs. an adult would save 131.00, but I didn't know if they charged the first 2 people in the room as 2 adults. I hope that isn't too confusing! I've only done a package once, I usually book room only so this is a little confusing to me. |

| Re: package question with a junior Michelle - It's actually easier just to look at it in one big price, particularly because Disney's way of wording the cost in it's promotional form can be confusing, and generally doesn't include things like park hopping on your tickets, and any taxes. In the grand scheme of things, it's just too confusing to figure it out the way they promote it. To answer your question though, adults as far as the ROOM is concerned are anyone over 18, so with one adult and one junior, you are charged the same as if there was only one adult in the room. Then the tickets, since you are both considered adults are far as ticketing goes, you would both be charged for adult tickets. So, using your example, for a three night stay in a standard view room at a value resort, and four day tickets (NOT parkhoppers), the total for you two would be $753.27, including tax. (For conversation's sake, with parkhopping added onto your tickets would be $834.21.) I noticed that you mentioned codes though - when they are available, the codes are generally on the packages, and you can apply the code after your package has already been booked. Most travel agents, as well as the Disney website, if you want to "play" there, will quote you with one whole number, and not per person. I hope that helps clear it up! |
