The 2nd Harry Potter Chat was alot of fun last night.

My thanks to all that took part in discussing Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

When we finished last evening we set a date for the next meeting of Dumbledore's Army, err sorry, Harry Potter Chat.

We plan on discussing Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban on Saturday April 24, at 8pm EST. We will most likely end up in the Utilidor subroom, to allow others to chat freely about *gasp* other topics.

If you love the HP series, please join us, if you can.

As with last time, anyone that wants to may PM me with topic suggestions or simply bring them along, whichever you prefer.

Please note that the discussion will jump around to things that occur in books beyond Prisoner of Azkaban, so be prepared for a Spoiler Alert, should you have not completed all 5 books that are currently available.

So meet us in the Room of Requirement (Utilidor) and don't forget your wands!

We began at about 8:15pm, and continued on until 12:30. Thanks to all that took part.

A number of people came and went through the evening, but I think most enjoyed the discussion, which centered on the upcoming movie, the symbolism of Dementors, which character we most identified with, the significance of the Animagus or Patronus for each character, as well as the wands, just to name a few topics.

We will be setting a date for the discussion of HP and the Goblet of Fire, soon. Check back here for the date / time.

I just wanted to heads up everyone that the new HP movie coming out may be coming to an IMAX near you. It is with ours. We are definitely getting tickets for this experience. We are now listening to the Goblet and Phoenix, yes, at the same time, DD idea, she wants to do both, but we rented the books on tape and are reading the book at the same time. Should be caught up by Xmas.
