Exclamation The PassPorter Calendar *Updated 7/18/07*

The Backyard has been busier than ever lately! With so many meets, it's easy to lose track of what's happening and when. During one of the recent message board upgrades, a calendar feature was added and it's so under-utilized IMHO.

When you begin a new thread for a meet, you'll see an option just below the "More Pixies" link under the text box when you type your original post to begin the meet thread. It says "List this event in calendar on". If you and other attendees have already chosen the date for the meet, you can add your meet to the calendar quickly and easily by checking the box and choosing your date from the drop down lists. If you have any questions or need help adding your meet to the calendar, please don't hesitate to contact either myself or Amy (iamgrumpy). We're your co-guides for The Backyard and we're happy to help you with this or any other questions you may have have about planning your event.

Happy posting and planning!

*** Please see next post for updated instructions for the Community Calendar. ***

New Board Updates to Calendar Functions

Hey Gang! We have some new choices and after sussing it out for myself to put together some instructions, here you have it.

How to add a range of dates to the PassPorter Community Calendar:

1. Click this link: http://www.passporterboards.com/forums/calendar.php
2. Scroll to the bottom of the page. Choose Community Calendar from the drop-down menu.
3. Choose the month and year of your travel dates from that drop-down menu to see the current activities for that calendar month.
4. Choose “Ranged Event” from the “Add New Event” Menu.
5. Fill in your event dates by choosing from the drop-down menus in the “Event Date” Box.
6. Add more information, a synopsis of your plans for the week: skiing, boating, fishing, paintball, whatever.

Example:

Event: The Radvon Family’s 5th Annual Knoebels Sojourn

Event Information: We’re off to ride the Phoenix! Plans include mini-golf, Crystal Pool and Kozmo’s Play Pool, Fascination, Playland Arcade, Knoebels famous Lusse Auto Skooters (bumper cars – real, hard-hitting, steel ones!), The Grand Carousel (catch the brass ring!), Twister, Ol’ Smokey and The Pioneer Train, campfires, rides, games, shows, and food, food, and more food!!! Thank you for flying Air Phoenix!

7. Click "Save Event".

This forum (The Backyard) is the right place. This thread would not be the best place to post though. Click on the blue New Topic box on the upper left side of the forum page to start a thread about a meet or post your dates.
