| CT- Castles, and lunch and Passporters Oh MY! August 5th..Updated 8/2 Castles, and lunch and Passporters Oh MY! When: Saturday August 5th Where: Gilette’s Castle State Park East Haddam CT Time: 12:00 pm Who: Any PassPorter who can make it! The actual meet will be a Bring your own Picnic Lunch on the Picnic Grounds and I will supply the Water/Coke/Diet Coke/Sprite. They offer tours of the Castle it is $5 for Adults 18 and over. $3 for children 6-17 years old and Children 5 and under are free. Since the picnic grounds are outside I would like to know if you would like me to set up a rain date for the Sunday or have a back up plan of say Lunch at a restaurant. I look forward to seeing anyone who can make it! You can find more information on Gillette's Castle at: Gillette's Castle ***updated 7/17*** OK if it is going to rain on Saturday then we will see what the weather is like for Sunday if its nice then we can just move it to Sunday if people are available. but if the weather is going to be Rain both days then we will be meeting at the castle and having lunch nearby at one of the places Kathy mentioned. We could then take the tour of the castle and have lunch afterwords. |

| Re: CT- Castles, and lunch and Passporters Oh MY! August 5th I like the idea of a back up restaurant in case of rain both days. Amy, how far from Bridgeport? I'll probably take the ferry from there since I'm only 10 minutes from the ferry on this side. I can't wait! | ||||

| Re: CT- Castles, and lunch and Passporters Oh MY! August 5th..Updated Again Does anyone have any suggestions for restaurants we could have as our back up? I'm at a loss as to where to try for... Would Closer to Hartford or Closer to Mystic be easier for folks? |
