Lesley~depending on when you arrive Friday, you might have time for some shopping before heading to Michelle's for the Friday night PP meet. Personally, shopping during the day Saturday might be the best. The stores are open from approximately 10am until 9:30pm. If you come to Scrapmania at Archiver's, you could visit and scrap from 5pm until 11pm Saturday evening. As Michelle said, usually neither her nor I actually get much scrapping done. After all, we can always scrap; but how often can we visit with all of you???

We consider Scrapmania to be a social thing with a little bit of scrapbooking thrown in. If you are just starting out, there are lots of cool things you can get at Archiver's to help you with your pages. We are also planning on a meet for lunch on Saturday around 1:30pm or so. I don't know if that helps you out or not. If you would like to go to Saturday night's Scrapmania, I am collecting money from all those interested so that I can register us as a group. Registration is around August 15th, so I am trying to collect the money now. It is $15, and you can either send cash or a check. If you are interested, just PM me to let me know, and I can PM you my address. Only 45 more days...... I can't wait!

Lots of people do bring extra suitcases for the things they buy at MOA. In case you didn't know, there is no sales tax on clothing or shoes in Minnesota. It makes a big difference if you are buying that sort of thing.

I can definitely do lunch and shopping Friday during the day, so let's plan on it.

One housemate down, one to go. Dee is already coming for scrapping all day Saturday and Tucci B. Now I'm trying to talk my other housemate into joining us for lunch. What is the latest date for a firm head count for lunch?

For anybody who is coming in early on Friday, I am off during the day~at least until I have to leave for class at 4pm. I have talked to Sue already about meeting for lunch and shopping on Friday. I think we are planning on meeting at Rainforest Cafe around 12noon. So if you make it into town early (or if you already live here

), come on over to the MOA before heading to Michelle's for the evening meet. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone in September!

Meet Update (8/12/07):

I called today and made lunch reservations at Tucci Benucch. Lunch then will be on Saturday 9/22/07 at 1:30pm. It sounds like they should be able to seat us all together! The menu is Italian for anyone not familiar with this restaurant. It is my DD's favorite restaurant as the food is very good.

Not sure if I will be able to do any of the MOA meets

DH just confirmed a Twins game @ 11 AM on Sat for the 4 of us and another couple. (Bonus-- it's FREE for us!!

) Still trying to figure out about the evening and the boys (DH will be working night shift that night too). Hopefully I can at least stop & say HI after the game and to meet people

Update 8/15/07:

For those of you scrapping at Archiver's on Saturday 9/22, I called this morning and got us registered!

It is seeming more real as we get closer to the date. I talked to the manager of Archiver's and requested the back room~so we don't overwhelm all of those "non-Disney" folks who might be there!

Lesley, Barb, and Bridget~if you decide that you still might want to join us for Saturday night's Scrapmania, just PM me. I can give you the number to Archiver's so that you can sign up directly. We would love to have you join us (as well as anybody else who hasn't already signed up but would like to come.)

See you all in September!

We have reservations for 12 for Scrapmania, which will be a full three tables. The manager was going to hold three more spots in case anybody else can join us. As far as Tucci Benucch, I made a reservation for 15 which would include everyone who said they were still interested in coming. I can't wait!!!
