Lunch meet in Eastern PA area Sunday, October 5th-Update in post #44

I do believe a certain Passporter might be in this area on one of the legs of her road trip. I am thinking a Pennsylvania (NY, NY, CT) lunch meet is in order! It would be Sunday, October 5th.

The date is NOT negotiable, and we will be looking toward the Poconos/Easton area for a spot to meet.

Anyone want to have lunch with Donna (GoofyMom) and I?

Oh I think I can be persuaded to attend! I'll check the calendar to make sure it doesn't conflict with school stuff (darn those kids), but I know I can make it for the 5th, but I really like coming on the 4th and getting in a little shopping!

Okay, I just checked the calendar, and my kids DON'T have school on the 6th and 7th, so I think a Sunday/Monday trip is in the works for us!!!!

You know I'm in! What locations do you have in mind? The area between the Poconos and Easton is HUGE and there's tons of great restaurants in between. (I'm thinking a big group of us might be a bit too noisy for Mollie's. ) We have some great diners down this way and Pizza Chef has been very kind to us for our annual Eastern PA meets.

Chrissi, I was thinking about Mollies! I am going to call them and see what size party they can accomodate... Home-style restaurant, breakfast, catering. Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. - Home

The website really doesn't do them justice. Mollie's is a wonderful place!

The website really doesn't do them justice. Mollie's is a wonderful place!
My big concern with Mollie's is the parking situation in Stroudsburg. Half of Main St. is under construction for the foreseeable future. (I witnessed a crossing guard find a parking ticket on her township vehicle's windshield in front of the Y a few weeks ago! ) And the other half of Main is some major pain-in-the-rear parking. Is the lot behind Dunkelberger's still a permit-only lot?

Maybe the Beef and Ale over on 9th would be a better choice this time around. Free parking and REALLY good food like Mollie's. Similar pricing, too. Meh, carp! I just remembered - it's called Ned's on 9th now - not Beef and Ale.
