Question Paying at meets?

Hey everyone. I don't want to seem tacky or cheap but when you go to a PP meet and eat...how does it work out when its time to pay? Is it split up evenly or does everyone get seperate checks? TYI

The meet and eat I am sponsoring is a counter service. We buy our own and meet upstairs. In some group (i.e. ADR ) meals, we each just got our own bill at the end.

when i had a meet in NYC with valegirl5292 we split the check . or we could see if they could do separate checks depending on the size of the meet.
but like duc addict said my meet at POFQ is a counter service meal and everyone will get what they like and pay for themselves. i might spluge for beingets lol.

Most of the meets are arranged so you bring your own food (like Don's doing) or your own drink. Others don't involve food.

For table service meals, I believe the servers will split the table up into a maximum of 4 checks -- then you only have to figure out your portion from the check on which your meal is listed (plus tax and tip.)

I went to a Passporter meet at the Crystal Palace during Mousefest 2005. We had two large tables of PassPorters - but since it was a buffet, it was the same price for each attendee, with the exception of my daughter Sarah (she was the only child under 10 at that meet.) We just split the bill by the number of people - which was quite easy.

For non-Disney meets, we tend to pass the check around and everyone puts in the correct amount. I don't think I have ever had a problem because everyone puts in their fair amount (which is much more than I can say for my family! ).

The ones I've been to, we've either just split the check down the middle, or by what the person ate---- they've all been different.

Our lunches here at MOA we've been able to get separate checks. Or at least enough checks that there are only a couple of people on the bill, so splitting is easy.

The PA/Pocono meets have lately all been table service/meal gatherings, so I usually check out the menu online and make sure to bring enough cash for the few menu items that interest me (and some smaller bills in case everyone has a $20 bill come time to pay ) and at least an extra $3 - 5 just for me and my guys to put towards the tip for our very gracious and understanding servers. (We tend to make for big, noisy meals and bogart entire dining rooms. )
