Only that one and the DK Eyewitness Guide for Tokyo. I started to order another one a week or so ago but then read the reviews on Amazon about it. I always check reviews before ordering. the Frommers one also didn't have good reviews which was another one that I was going to buy. So I'm just at two books - so far. I'll have to delve into the websites posted in this thread in the near future.

I the DK Eyewitness books! I would happily buy them even for places I didn't want to go because they're just so beautiful, and look good all together on a shelf...

I have the Tokyo one and have just started reading the Japan one (as featured in some of chez's photos I think). I expected there to be more of a mention of the Disney parks, but obviously the editors didn't consider them worthy of anything more than a brief paragraph...

Yeah, I figured Disney parks wouldn't be mentioned in many guide books. There really isn't any out there but we'll have Cheryl with us. Instead of Adventures by Disney we'll have Adventures with Cheryl.

If you do want a book on Tokyo Disney itself, the only one I know of on the market at the moment is Tokyo Disney Made Easy by Kevin Yeo, which we bought before going there. It's not a PassPorter, but it does have lots of interesting info - and yes, we'll happily act as tour guides for you guys around Tokyo Disney!

I did see his book on Amazon. I wondered about it but didn't buy it because of the bad reviews. Was it helpful or will we get more from just reading your TR and your fabulous article in the PP newsletter? I'll have to do some more reading online before purchasing. Maybe when I go visit my mom in KC we'll visit some book stores. We have a couple of decent book stores but there's not much of anything on Japan.

Had a dream about the trip last night. I have small snippets of dreams all night long and can usually tell you 3-4 the next morning. Anyways, I was talking to my mom in my dream and said something to the effect that I was looking forward to the Japan trip in almost 4 years. She said something to the effect that she moved it up and it's next summer. I was in my sleep.

Hey!, maybe by 2013 Jennifer and Dave will get a Tokyo Disney PP commissioned!
With all of you planning, and all of us "maybe-ing" there should surely, at least, be one after 2013!

Hmmm... it's tough. There are problems with the book - the section on resorts just tells you nothing at all. I was so disappointed by it, but the section on places to eat was pretty useful and I enjoyed the section on basic phrases in the Japanese language. I did learn a lot from it and, as to how much I've put into the TR or the articles, it's hard to know...

Well just keep saving money because the list of people seriously thinking about this is growing.

Also, one of my best friends and her daughter are considering this trip too. They're both Disney fanatics and the daughter has had Japan on on her mind for years. Her plan is to live in Japan (Kyota) when she graduates from college. They aren't PP but followed along on Cheryl's TR faithfully.

I'll have to talk to DH and see if we can swing it. The biggest problem will be convincing him to leave the dogs for 2 weeks.

I thought I'd come and post here, as I've been thinking about 2013 over the last few days with working on my Japan scrapbook. We decided today that we are going to have to go back to Hiroshima next time. Looking at the literature we brought back with us, there is just so much there and on Miyajima Island that we didn't get a chance to see.

I wasn't planning on heading back there, but now I think it's a must...
