Hi Everyone -

We are headed to the experience on December 6 for the 4pm show. I will be going with lots of family and a few clients.

I read somewhere when this was first announced that we won't be able to bring cameras into the theater but they'll have a place to check cameras so we can have them for the after event.

I'm kind of nervous about checking my camera but definitely want to get pictures after. I'm wondering if I should bring my smaller/older pocket camera instead of my new one.

What are you guys doing?

I have to call tomorrow as the letter I got today said you will have to check cell phones!!! My phone and I don't seperate EVER, sadly enough.

I'll report back. I am wondering if they will be doing a real bag search or just the top. They are trying to prevent people from posting the movie online before the release.

I'm just wondering how the whole thing will work -- seems like it will be a madhouse with a whole theater full of people waiting in line to claim their checked items at the end. I'm worried about how carefully they handle our stuff--don't want my camera to get damaged.

Hi Heather -

I am waiting on a call back from a manager, I was told this is the norm and no one has ever questioned it.

They are checking how much they have insured/bonded items for as well as the staffing and layout with the time constraints that I am worried about.

I may have to stop in at my local Clearview and ask my manager friend if he has ever experienced this.

I'll keep you posted.

I didn't get any letter....should I call and ask if I need one? I thought I could just print out the ticket confirmation I received via e-mail? Is there something else I need? Now I'm wondering (and worrying)....

I guess I'd be ok checking my stuff...I know it does happen. Like when I used to go to the Conan show when it was still in NYC.

Anyway, can you tell me about the letter and if you think I should call since I didn't get one and also about the tickets...I'm so confused now!

I wouldn't worry about it. I probably got the letter because I have "group tickets" and they FedEx those. It gives the basics, arrive 1 hour before, open seating, check phones and cameras. That's about it.
