Hi All!!

I'm back and sufficiently recovered from my trip!! [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]

I wanted to take a new head count of who will be attending the Mass Meet on October 19.

So far, the plan is to meet at Brothers Restaurant at 1:00pm for lunch and then we'll take Salem by storm!! We all don't have to do the same things, especially since we may not want to do the same things, so I have pasted what (in addition to the usual goings on) is going on on October 19:

Eerie Events

Gripping ghost stories told by actors in historic houses, with cider, donuts and a bonfire in the gardens, Peabody Essex Museum, 5-10:30 p.m. For more information, please call (978) 745-9500.

Kids Festival

Bizarre Bazaar

Street fair featuring vendors, street performers, face painting, live music and more. Sponsored by the Salem Chamber of Commerce. (978)744-0004.

Pumpkin Carving

Spirits of the Gables

This dramatic evening brings Nathaniel Hawthorne's famous novel to life. Explore the historic mansion's shadowy rooms as you encounter characters from the novel, including the bewitched Alice Pyncheon and the ghost of Mathew Maule, a persecuted victim of the witch trials, House of the Seven Gables, $12, 7-11 p.m. For more information, please call (978) 744-0991.

Road Race

North Shore Medical Center will hold a 5k Road Race to assist the development of its Sports Medical Program. Route begins at Salem Willows to Memorial Drive onto Essex Street, then left onto Hawthorne Boulevard, left onto Derby Street, and down Fort Avenue, 10 a.m. For more information, please call (978) 745-9003.

You are quite welcome, although, a lot of us had this idea, I just happened to be the one who verbalized it first!

<font size="2" face="Comic Sans MS, Arial">That's the beauty of this place, you don't need a reservation. When you walk in, you go through and decide what you want and then you pay. Almost like a buffet or cafeteria (although the word 'cafeteria' wouldn't do it justice). There is truly something for everyone here, from fish and chips to mac & cheese. It's not fancy or expensive, but good food and someplace where we can talk and laugh and not be asked to leave! LOL!!
