Do you ever make a wish?

Do you ever make a wish? What do you wish for?

I don't care how silly it is, whenever I see one of those white silky wishes floating in the air, I make a wish.

One time last year, I was driving in my car and the air was just FULL of wishes floating in the sky. They swirled and flew in all directions as I drove by with my windows open, and I was able to grab a few.

Tricia Davids was the 10,000th visitor to my home page!

Posted 08-29-2009 at 07:17 PM by Sandra Bostwick (Walt's Wave)
Today is kind-of a special day for me. One of my book club regulars was the 10,000th visitor to my home page.

Can I just say that I've appreciated every single person who has left a graphic or a message on my page.

Cyberspace is such a strange concept, but I feel blessed to have amassed 10,000 cyber-waves.

THANK YOU!

Is texting while you talk trendy?

So many people were sending or receiving texts. The messages were often shown to others and became part of the conversation. I saw this happening all over the room. It did seem to add an interesting dimension to the social atmosphere, but it was so unusual.

An Interesting Development

I was going to help Jay with his missions class at church tonight, because the regular teacher wasn't going to be there. While we were waiting for the boys to arrive, one of the older classes' teachers walked by. He is going to be Webelos I dl this year, and his son is the only other church member who is part of our Pack. He told us that our Education Minister is going to set up a scout committee in the church and wants us to be part of it.

Do you ever wave and say thanks to your garbage man?

Posted 08-27-2009 at 08:41 AM by Sandra Bostwick (Walt's Wave)

This is what is on my mind, so I'm testing to see if it is blogworthy.

Whenever the garbage man takes the garbage, if I am out in the yard, I wave and say "thank you!"

Once, when I was seen doing that, I was told it was nuts. Have you ever waved to or thanked your garbage man?

It isn't that the garbage men look like Mel Gibson or Robert Downey Junior. It isn't even simply because I tend to greet anyone I make eye contact with, because I'll sometimes...
