Last night was rough. My self-esteem was really starting to improve, but took a big hit last night. I don't even know what to say that would be appropriate on a public blog... Just feeling bad.

Last night DH and I played some games and went to bed early. We did not stay up until midnight to see the new year roll in. Today, DH is watching football and napping. I am just relaxing. We may take down the tree after dinner tonight or we may wait until Monday. DH is working 3rd shift tonight. I am glad we didn't do anything major for the New Year. I really don't miss "big plans" for New Year's Eve at all.

I started my weight loss plan today. I ate a healthy, low fat breakfast...

DH and I had a nice Christmas Eve. We had a nice meal. Then as planned we read the Christmas story from the Bible and took communion. Then also as planned, we played some games and just enjoyed each other's company. We did not go to the festival of lights after all. It was a nice, quiet Christmas Eve. I enjoyed it.

Tomorrow will be our family Christmas gathering at my brother's house. He likes to grill steaks on Christmas Day, no matter how frightful the weather! But it sounds...

I have been very seriously thinking about planning a trip to WDW next Christmas season. DH is pretty flexible about what time of year we go, so I am probably the one who will end up making the final decision on this.
I am glad that we have had a more simple Christmas season this year, but in spite of that I have still been a little overwhelmed, with helping to direct the church Christmas program and all. I think it would be nice to get away for a bit at this time of year next time around....

DH and I are going to my brother's house on Christmas Day before DH goes to work that night. We have been discussing how we want to spend Christmas Eve since he doesn't have to work that day. We are going to read the Christmas story from the Bible and have communion. Then we are going to play some games, followed by a trip to a local festival of lights that will be on all night that night. I am looking forward to this peaceful time with just my DH. I really do cherish any time I get alone with...
