Disneyland 2013

With almost 800 posts, I'm still learning what the Passport site as to offer, such as a blog. I figured I could post some Disney planning stuff here. Stuff that really isn't appropriate for the forum as it's just random stuff or stuff going on in this life, but affects our upcoming vacation.
One bummer is the planning isn't as fun as it should be right now. Over is the divorced parents wanting to both take us to Disney, but not wanting to be around each. Started is my sister's divorce and awful custody battle. She is living near our mom. The same mom coming with my family of 4 to Disneyland. So, the planning stuff my mom and I would normally do is marred by my sister's problems.
Now, I don't want to appear selfish. I feel for my sister, but she has caused a lot of her own problems. Deep, soul crushing problems. The first was leaving her kids with the soon to be ex when she moved. She said it was so she could organize the house, etc. and it would give the kids time to say goodbye to the dad's side of the family. Only, moving was stressful and opened a world of hurt for her and she dug herself in so deep, that the dad decided to keep the kids. I can't go into details, but will say if I was my sister's spouse, I'd fight for the kids too.
But, I took the day off of work to stretch out an already long weekend. (Civic holiday in Manitoba.) Have a late Lammas to plan and spent most of the day doing something Disney related. Was rather nice! The kids and hubby will be home soon, but it was great to have a day to myself!
