Beer of the Day - 11/13

From Dogfish Head Brewing Company in Rehobeth Beach, Delaware comes today's beer - Raison D'Etre.
It is a deep, mahogany ale brewed with beet sugar, green raisins, and Belgian-style yeast. As complex as a fine, red wine. Voted "American Beer of the Year" in January 2000 by Malt Advocate Magazine.
8% ABV
Tasting Notes: Notes of pit fruit, decadent, winey, raisiney, malty

I hope you see this as the post is old. At Thanksgiving, my cousin brought some of Dogfish Pumpkin Ale. I'm not a big beer drinker, but it was really good! Not too strong of a pumpkin taste either. In fact, I was bad (bad mom, but it was a holiday) and let my DS17 have some of mine. He loved it! Not bad for a kids first beer!Posted 12-14-2008 at 09:01 AM by minniemagic
