(This is Main Street by Angie, who is working on art goals here on the blog!)
This has been a personal project to blog every day for a school year on goals and dreams. My hope was that I could find a group of people to work with me.
I was lucky enough to find a small, but sincere group of inspirational people to keep me company. We've been using Walt Disney's philosophies or creations as inspiration.
I am no longer blogging daily, but I am notified if comments are posted, and I'll be happy to keep the discussion going!

Kayaking, Mangroves, and GIANT sea turtles!!!!!
Had a relaxing Kayak trip in the creek. Dove Creek Lodge has a bunch that you can use free whenever you like. I only saw two other people briefly during my Karak trip.
I saw a bunch of Mangroves.
Mangroves start with a trunk, then they start to project these wierd branch/roots toward the water. Eventually, the projections reach water and finally grow down enough to anchor into the floor of the creek. It is wierd because you can look into them and it seems that they are just floating. Kind of reminded me of the island in Life of Pi.
I found the mangroves to be a great example. Why just plant roots in one spot and grow up? Why not test out the surrounding area and see if you can sprout new roots, even if they seem a little shaky at first. YOU GO, MANGROVES!
I got pretty far when I saw a giant sea turtle. Maybe giant is relative, but he was definitely as wide as my kayak, which is big enough for me!
He kind-of paddled there looking at me and I looked at him. Then, he turned and started diving deep into the water. And deeper and deeper. Suddenly I realized that I was in some serious deep water.
You could see where the coral reef dropped off like a cliff and I was right on top of a deep abyss.
I paddled right back to the shallow part! This is a really great place for kayaking.
So, another thumbs up for Dove Creek Lodge. The kayaks are awesome and the area is great for paddling away!
It is a little isolated, but a cab or car ride can fix that!
