I have the view from my balcony at the Dove Creek Lodge in Key largo as my cell phone wall paper. On the cover is either sunset or sunrise (I can't remember which) When you flip it open, there is the full daylight view.
I was trying to describe the view to a friend when it occurred to me to show her! When she looked at the illuminated photo she got it.
The days of being without a camera at short notice are just about gone. The photos make telling our stories and telling about our lives as easy as pushing a button in some ways.
I like how our gadgets give us the options of choosing personalized screen savers or wallpaper on computers and devices.
The choice to remove one "main" photo and put in another can be touchy. Are my loyalties divided if I take this one off? Just what SHOULD be the most important photo...the one I see countless times in a day?
Sometimes, taking a photo off a screensaver puts finality on something that we may not have anymore, like a person who is no longer central in our lives. OUCH! In a cell phone, moving a photo from wallpaper to "My pix"storage is one thing, but when the memory gets full, and you have to start deleting, some hard questions have to be dealt with. How do we decide when to recycle the photos of people, places, and things that give us our gadget greeting? Have you ever had an OUCH while moving something?
What photo is front and center in your life right now?

Right now I'm using one of the generic Windows wallpapers. Generally I have my wallpaper set to something that relates to my next trip. Well my next trip is to Branson and I couldn't find a picture I was happy with, so I'm just going generic for right now. I also use the same way of thinking to choose my sig pic and profile pic on PP - whatever my next trip is. Gives me something to help me look forward to the trip!Posted 07-30-2009 at 06:22 PM by christiejay

We're going to be at WDW around the same time I believe Christiejay. My wallpaper on my cell is a picture of my DS (19) in his newly acquired Fireman uniform (full gear), breathing mask and all. In front of the city's fire truck. He was just voted into our local volunteer fire department as a regular volunteer fireman. Before this photo I had a picture of him from last summer in shorts and tshirt, before leaving for "Y" camp. I am just learning all of this new technology so I do not have an overabundance of pictures and other things yet, but I'm working on it. I have no idea how I will decide what to say goodbye to.Posted 07-30-2009 at 07:27 PM by GoofEme
